it doesnt matter if you made a return or not--if you charge something on your card, and then return it, the store would have issued a credit to your charge card. So, if the store claims you returned it, then ask them why they never credited your credit card for the amount of the returned item. The problem is not the claim that you returned something--it is the fact that the store never issued the credit that would have happened if you returned something. Take that info to them and ask them what their malfunction is.

I have talked to the store who won't do anything. I have mailed copies of all of my receipts to the credit card company and they say the same thing.
