Hi and welcome to the forums!! And yes, there is something you can do about it. First off, can you tell us what kind of debt that you have. Is it credit card, Payday loan, student loan?? The more information we have, the more we can help you.

You're still young and have time to turn your credit around. You need to start becoming responsible. One thing you have to do is take responsibility for your credit cards. I'm sure your mom has her own bills to worry about. Can you possibly get a part-time job on or around campus?
Also, since you have registered, a debt counselor will be contacting you shortly to go over the different options that are available to you. The best of luck to you. Let us know how you're doing, and feel free to post here anytime.

This kind of debt is workable. I would call your creditors and tell them that you are willing to send them so much a payperiod until it gets paid off. Also, if they give you any grief, explain that you are in the military and have restrictions on working civilian jobs, due to hours.
Also, have you looked into getting a loan with Family Relief on base? If they offered a consolidation loan, I'm sure they would be open to working out reasonable payment terms.
