I have been reading many posts on these forums over the past few weeks and have read that some people are having success with getting an excellent settlement % rate (28% - 35%) with the OC. However, I have also read where others were not offered any settlements and the debt ends up being charged off and/or individual being sued. Do you think with the state of the economy and nbr of defaults, cc companies are more willing to settle? I have about $35K debt on two chase cards and hope to work out a settlement before reaching the 180 day mark (currently at 60 days). I have not heard anything from them at this time.

Realistically what do you think I can expect? Any advise/insight from any person who has had success with Chase would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

From what I have read, Chase can be a blister to deal with! You need to be persistent until you reach the right person. You unfortunately do not have much time as they will quickly turn you over to a 1. Contact them immediately. Also do a search in the box above right and read what many others have experienced. Yes the economy is making them move faster to recover lost revenue in my opinion anyway.
