What is the best place to request a credit report from? That will give me details?

Content wise, the best credit report I have received is the free annual credit report that each consumer is entitled to receive once a year under the FCRA. The site annualcreditreport.com is basically a non-commericial site sanctioned by the FTC as a means for the CRAs to efficiently meet the provision of a free annual credit report.
Most commercial credit reports do a really crummy job, carelessly mixing information from OC and collection accounts, and omitting much detail. The reports from annualcreditreport.com are more accurately formatted, and usually broader in included content.
If you havent ordered your CR from each CRA within the last 12 months, I suggest you start there. One tactic used by many consumers is to stagger the free CR from each CRA over four-month periods, thus providing you a free CR once every four months.

One caution. While receiving your CR from that site is free, they will offer to sell you a credit score based on the free CR. It wont be a FICO score, and is essentially useless, so just say no when they ask if you want to additionally purchase a credit score. Just get your free credit report, save it, and log off.

Hi,

You can also visit annualcreditreport.com or call the number 1-877-322-8228 to get a free copy of your credit report. You may also complete the Annual Credit Report Request form and mail it to Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281. Apart from this, you may also order a free copy of your report from any of the three nationwide credit bureaus, TransUnion, Equifax and Experian.
