A payment agreement was reached with a debt collection agency representing salliemae. 3 months later central credit services starts calling saying the previous agreement is void. Is this legal?

This is a student loan right? Federal or private loan?? Then the answer is yes. When you default on a student loan, you balance becomes due in full. Did the collection agency discuss rehab or consolidation with you? The goal is to get the loan resolved asap..and if the CA doesnt do this it is shuffled to another agency.
