what are charge off accounts and how do i get them off of a credit report?
Accounts that are in default for more than 120 days will be mark
Accounts that are in default for more than 120 days will be marked as "charged off" . The creditors report the latest status of your file to the bureaus. A charged off items will lower down the scores by 100 points (approx)
If you have such item, you need to make some payment arrangements with the creditor and request to do a fair reporting on your credit file. They are not bound to remove the negative item but if you request, they might do so
