On my Chase credit card it is 90 days late. After that it goes to collections right? If so what would they do if I just mailed them like $20 a month or something? Would that keep it from going to collections for a few months?

Chase does not sell to a collection agency.
They have in house lawyers that they send it too.

I had a cc with them and I can tell you from personal experience that they will summons you and they don't wait around for very long. Of course, my balance was quit high too. I stopped paying in Jan 07 and I received my summons in May. I will also tell you that it never went to court and they were more than fair with me in setting up a payment plan. Of course, I am paying interest in fees but the person I dealt with was very nice.

I hope this helps.

I TOO HAVE A CHASE CARD.THEY BASICALLY WILL CALL ALOT.THEY DID WIH ME UNTIL I BECAME CURRENT.SEE IF YOU CAN WORK SOME KIND OF PAYMENT,ANY KIND IS USUALLY GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM.JUST MAKE THAT PAYMENT WHATEVER AMOUNT OR THEY WILL CALL MORE THAN YOU PLANNED.TRUST ME I HAVE DONE JUST THAT AND IT KEEPS THEM HAPPY AND GETS THEM OFF YOUR BACK.
