Hi everyone
I have been sued on 3 of my citi accounts. So I went ahead and tried to settle them all together with the law firm (Hunt and Henriques). However, I just want to get some advice from someone who been through this. I'm uncertain if there will be any more collection effort on the remaining balance in the future say like 5 to 10 years from now. I do know that these banks and lawyers will play tricks on you all the times. So....let me post my settlement letter for you guys to review. If you guys can give me as much advice as possible, that will be great. Thank you all!

Citi Bank Vs. Me

The purpose of this letter is to confirm the settlement you negotiated with our office. Our client (citi) will accept $8448.00 on or before March 25th, 2009 as settlement in full of the above reference case. If payment is not received by said date, the settlement offer is null and void and will will continue with all applicable legal remedies.

This offer to settle is based upon you representation that no part of the settlement funds are from sale, refinance, or purchase of real property. If any of the funds are from a sale, refinance or purchase of real property this offer to settle is null and void.

Payments may be made by check.

Upon our receipt of your timely payment, if applicable, we will file a dismissal and send you a confirmed copy.

Are these enough? I don't want any future collection.

If you have already got the debt validated, I think that you can agree to the settlement offer and pay off the debt. However, you should always keep the settlement letter and the proof of payment of the settlement amount, with you in case the creditor or any other collection agency harass you for the same debt in future.
