Since you have received the summons it would be wise to file you
Since you have received the summons it would be wise to file your answer to it within the stipulated time, otherwise the creditor would be awarded with a default judgement. You can check out the following site for help to file your reply.

If you owe to Citi bank, you may consider settling outside the court.

You might have to call the attorney's office that has filed the lawsuit against you to discuss the settlement. But really, they might not agree to a settlement when they are have a better chance of winning the lawsuit.

a couple of questions
1)who is the law firm suing you?
2)is there a case or docket number?
if those things are not on the letter then check with your court clerk to confirm the summons is real.if so file your answer then see if citi bank would be receptive to settlement.if not then send a DV letter to the address on the letter asap.please answer those questions, and it go a long way to helping further.

summon
The law firm suing me is: Justin C Taylor - I do have a case # in the letter & the letter comes from circuit court of where i am from. I do not have the money to pay the actual balance of $11k- I have a relative will help me but can only help for about $3k - I have a job but i do not make much plus i have a baby now to feed - i have a husband but we do not make much- our income is less now.
This went so far because i never respond any of thier letters & calls because i do not have the money to pay or settle my debt -
Do you think they will accept 3k for settlement ?
Whom i have to call to settle? the citi? or the atty's office? or which best to call to write them a letter?
Do you have any sample letter on how to answer them back?
This is a summon letter i received - i do not much about laws but it doesnt tell me the date or court which to go yet so is that mean i can settle them?
Guys- please any advice would be appreciated
Thanks to all

okay, file your answer first with your court clerk.once that is done then contact the law firm first to see if they would be receptive to that amount.you won't be assigned a court date until you answer the summons.one more question
is the amount you owe 11,000.00?
if that is even a question then file your answer that you ask for validation during discovery.if you are sure that is the actual amount then still file an answer.then you can start negotiating with the attorney.when you file your answer the attorney will more than likely be in touch with you first.do this and keep us posted.we can help from there.
