Collections Attorney Court

I have dealt with the credit card companies because my surgeries put me out of work. Even wrote letters.

I was turned over to a collection agency. I was to sick to respond in their timely manner. When I could respond I said this the only amount I could pay.
not happy
Then I have been turned over to a Collection Attorney (a big wig in our state) and I have called, mailed certified letters saying this is all I can afford at this time.
then served court papers
I went to court .
This is happening again and again with the credit cards
I owe on. In the beginning I tried to work with Credit card companies. Only one worked with me and to date I have a very good standing with them.
What can I do to settle with these guys?
It is becoming a continual harassment affair
