What Happens When You Are 90-120 Days Late?

I am in a DMP, but just curious as to what happens if you arent...The CC company calls, I don't answer my phone as I've spoken to them once & the proposal from my DMP was sent to them & they should have it by now.

Hi Lawn, do you know if the CC in your dmp have agreed to the terms and the conditions of your debt management program? is this particular company you talk about involved with your plan? Your DMP should send you something that validates when your creditor accepts your programs repayment terms. If they haven't then they can still collect directly from you I think. When I was 90 days late (and even before then) my cc companies would call and call then I believe at 6 months my accounts would go into deliquency, (this happened due to my intermittent payments to them when I had the money I would send little in sporadically)thus, sending CAs after me. Your credit report will reflect when you're late 30, 60, 90 days and beyond that. I am glad to see that you're in DMP!!

Lawn- debtstinker is right- make sure your dmp has contacted them, and that they will work with the program.Sometimes they won't do anything but call and call you. Others will send it to collections, or if you are continually late-may sell it if they think they won't get theri money, or it is an old debt.
When you find out if they will work with the DMP-refer all calls from them to your company.
I had been 120 days late once- they sent it to collections, and I was able to pay it , before they sold it off!!..karen

lawn...I had 1 cc that was really late...I want to say at 90 days when I went into dmp..they sent a proposal but we didn't hear from them...finally my counselor called them and found it had been charged off and sold...however she was able to get a hold of the collection co. that bought it and they are now in the DMP.

Mine that are that late ended up as negative marks on my credit report. I am very lucky that only that has happened, and I hold my breath everyday that I don't get hauled into court. But, mine are much older that 120 days. I can't wait to get this mess cleared up so that I can stop being so paranoid. But, if everything works out ok, I will have some of them on a payment plan or some sort of a settlement plan starting in January. I am going to start with the smallest one first and work my way up!
I'm glad you have a plan Eleroo! It sounds very logical!! Once

Thanks Cannr and LeeLee. :-) I have had it for awhile, but stupidly got pdls which messed my whole plan up for the past year!!! Boy, what a lesson to be learned! I never dreamed that $300 could end up causing such a mess.
Now I know better and will handle things differently. So this is going to be my year! :-) (I hope!!!)
