Yes you can do it yourself. I'm sure there are good companies out there but like you I don't have the money to pay the company and do the settlements. I started this in December and it has not been bad at all. No one has been rude to me when I've talked to them. Just lots and lots of phone calls to ignore. That's the only downside is the volume of phone calls but I just don't answer them until I'm ready to talk to them.

Well it's really good if you can do it yourself but at times the creditors or collection agencies become a real pain to bear. I believe you have already chalked out some repayment plans with each of them.
