Consolidating credit cards and cash call

Is consolidating credit cards a good idea or no? Consumer credit counseling of America called me and said they could consolidate my credit cards and my Cash Call loan and that it would not affect my credit at all in a negative way. Is this true? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure about how it affects your credit, but you may want to double check that they work with cash call . . . . I've heard that cash call will not work with any sort of consolidation company.

Guess if your accounts are already in defaults, you will be able to catch up on the payments through the plan. Otherwise, the accounts will stay in default and you will be adding up with high interest rates and fees. Once everything is paid off, the creditors will update your file with the bureaus and this program will be removed from your credit.
