Just what can they take or do? I know they can garnish one's pay
Just what can they take or do? I know they can garnish one's pay but can they seize one's means of transportation? Also, can they take over your checking account?

The only way your transportation can be seized is if you default
The only way your transportation can be seized is if you default on your car loan...As far as seizing your accounts, that doesn't generally happen unless you are in a state that doesn't allow garnishments for consumer debts.
The best thing to do is contact the creditors..Make a payment arrangement and stick with it.
