Don't make enought money for all the bills i have now. Hours cut, can't make all my payments on time or at all.

The consultant will try to figure out a plan that you will be able to afford at this time. Later, when your financial situation improves, you can put in larger payments and get debt free soon.

While you wait for the counselor's call, get all the latest statements and other account details which you want to include in the plan. This will make the discussion easier. How much do you owe in total?

You have the following options. Depending upon the total amount of your debts, you will figure out whether a debt consolidation is good for you or settling will be the right choice.

If you are having a tough time in increasing your present income, I will opt for a settlement plan and get everything paid faster. You will get the principal amount and the fees reduced by 40% to 60% and set up a monthly plan with the settlement company. Discuss your options with a counselor. He will help you in getting started.
