Wells Fargo Auto Finance & my credit...

Has anyone here had this company ruin their credit back in Nov.06 when they swithced everyones account number. They did mine but left live the old number thus, I have one account charged off and the other not reported on since Nov.06 and I have never, ever been late on my car payment in almost 5 years and it is paid in full this comming July 08. Wells and all the credit agencies deny whatever I send,fax,call,email, etc. If you had this problem what have you done to correct it. I sure need your advise.

Hi Luke. So they have you with two account numbers...one charged off and one that is not reporting at all? And you still are paying on the loan? That is crazy! I would be so frustrated. It's one thing to actually default, but a completely different thing to be reported for something that you had no control over (like switching the account numbers). I'm going to do a search and see if I can come up with some reference to others in the same situation. You can't be the only one. Be back shortly...

My friend is a victim of their harrassment. They posted her June payment to someone else's account and kept harrassing her contiously prior to that. We are in the process of obtaining her credit reports to see if they reported this late. I faxed them a copy of her bank statement showing that the payment cleared the account on June 28, 2007.

Luke, were you caught up in the whole computer theft thing that happened in 2006? Or, Ladybug, was your friend? I have been looking and keep running across things. I'm just wondering if that was the reason for the account number changes. Here is one link that I found that references a lawsuit. The lawsuit failed for lack of damages being proven, but just thought you might want to take a look anyway.

Do a general google search about complaints against Wells Fargo and you will get pages upon pages of complaints!

wow E, this is awsome, you gave me access to the wells fargo ripoff vault. If I could I would give you a big hug. I have been looking for some infomation like this for almost a year and then came you....omg, thank you so much. I will spend the rest of today reading how all these people including myself got rippofff. And when I am done I will be sending my AG alot of info. along with mine.

I hope you find everything you need about them to make a good case for yourself. I hate to see people get taken advantage of and this company obviously has a terrible reputation for bad customer service and inaccurate credit reporting. You go get them. :wink:
