this credit agency is calling my brother in another state re: my debt! How can I get that to stop. When I call the agency that is actually working for Pinnacle (Stevens and Michaels and Assoc. ) their explanatio is that they don't know--or were given that info by Pinnacle. :(

Are they calling for location information (which is totally legal) or are they telling him about your debt? If they are disclosing the debt, get your relative to write out a statement, have it notorized and send it to you. Send a certified letter to the offending party demanding your damages under the FDCPA for $1000. If they dont pay up, take them to court or contact an NACA attorney.,
