credit card debt out of control

we ran up our credit card debt. we then enrolled in a credit card negotiation company rather than file bankruptcy. now we're in trouble. our original amount was 40k it's 60 k with penalties and interest........... we're in texas. all of it is unsecured debt. what can we do? we're drowning

It's up to you to choose which method to use.
Got a couple of questions for you;

1. How did you run up your credit card debt? Cash advances, food, gas, medicine....etc?

2. Kind of curious on which cc negotiation company? How long were you with them? How much did you pay them? Got any leftover? If so can you access it?

3. Which cc's are they. In generalities only; how much and how far past due? (a 40k balance swelling up to 60k tells me something)
