Creditor threatened to take my home away

Due to a divorce this year, I am saddled with a lot of credit card debt. One creditor insinuated that they would take my home away. I signed up with Fidelity Reserves Corp. for a debt settlement program. I have a signed contract and a lot of paperwork from Fidelity, so hope this is the right way to go. Can a credit card company force me to sell my house? Fidelity Representative said no they can not force me to sell my home - but if I were to decide to sell it, they could put a lien on it. Any information will be very much appreciated!
