Hi all. What are the chances of a creditor filing a lawsuit on a $24000 second mortgage turned unsecure debt (my house was foreclosed in July)?

Update: I paid the second mortgage off and since I rented the house for 2 years, I was able to get favorable tax treatment (huge refund). When I stopped payments on the rental, my standard of living increased and I am now free of a house ta lost 60% of its value.
