Last year Dish Network apparently tried to collect a 51.00 dollar fee or charge regarding my account and it went into AFNI debt collection. I paid it immediately and now there is a 60 point hit in my credit report (40 for the collection and 20 because it is recent).
How do I explain to Dish or AFNI that I never received notice of the debt, that I have been a customer since 1998 and want this removed from my credit report as I never had a fair opportunity to pay it in the first place?
My credit score is 665 when normally it is in the mid 700's......Dan

Hi Dan,
Welcome to the forums :)
Actually you were supposed to make the payment on your own. you are not supposed to receive nay notice on the debt. You have taken the connection and now it is your responsibility to make the timely payments for the service. As you had missed payments and as it had gone to collections, there is now no way in which you can remove the negative form your credit report.
Thanks,
