A few weeks ago, I signed an enrollment agreement with CSA of Texas. So far, I have been treated very well and all questions answered kindly, but I am scared to death. I have read both good and bad about this company. In fact, I have read good and bad about all the debt relief companies which I feel is a bit normal. Has anyone had good effectiveness with this company or is all for not? I take full responsibility for decisions I have made financially but I do not want to get in worse shape. Neesey

If they are out of Dallas, TX, they screwed me big time. Told me they could negotiate with Citicorp. I then get a court summons from Citi, I call CSA and they said "well, at the time you signed up with us we were no longer able to negotiate with them". Cost me $3k in court fees on top of the full balance amount.

No matter where you go you are bound to read negative comments about debt settlement companies from the people that didn't work it appropriately. You can't sign an agreement and think that your debt is just going to go away. You made arrangements for the company to negotiate on your behalf.
There are so many people out there that give settlement a bad rap when it's not the companies that are the bad guys. Take a poll and you will find everyone that is saying they were scammed are the same people that don't read what they sign. Sad but true.

We signed up three months ago... and We were told that they had an A+ rating on the BBB... Which is not true... When we called to cancel after doing a ton of research we found their customer service reps incompetent beyond belief... we were told that everyone was in a meeting and someone would call us back... that they were really busy and we should call back... Given a different number only to get to the wrong place.... Well finally we canceled and then they had the nerve to send us a customer service review and I let them have it and said if they didn't contact us about a refund in 24 hours we were calling the state's attorney general's office and that we had already filed with the BBB. Get your money out and run! They take it for doing nothing but accelerating the judgements, and lawyers calling your house... the Credit card companies do not want to deal with them and will put you straight thru to collections. DON't do it.

Someone called us back within 30 minutes of that email and the money will be deposited back into our account within 2 days.

Credit Solutions of America has numerous lawsuits against them from many states.?? The latest is a lawsuit from the Texas Attorney General's office last week.?? Do your research.?? Be very weary of this company and any of it's Executives.

My hubby and I are enrolled w/ them right now. If I had to do over, I wouldn't. They are only doing what I couldve done long ago! Because of them I got a default judgement against me b/c I was advise wrong by them! On their behalf, I will say they did get one of our debts from $6700 to $2700. But in talking w/ them over the past month b/c of what happened, I have quickly learned all they do is sit and wait for an offer to come in then send it to you. No work done on there part! We just paid off w/ Asset Acceptance today. They sent the settlement letter to us offering a discount and to call by end of March to get the deal or it would expire. I called CS and the rep called Asset to only give me the choices of what they would've said had I called myself. I even calledCS yesterday to make sure Asset got my payment b/c it hadnt been debited from my account. The rep told me he can see where the deal is set up but cant see if it has been paid. Do you think he offered to call Asset? I hung up and called myself and the rep was very friendly and helpful!

Its a waste of money, I could've used my "fee" to pay a bill. I'm all for taking care of bills, but I wouldn't use CS.

I used them to help me settle $31k from '04-07 and their program worked for me. I will have to say that most of the people that complain are the people that didn't understand what they were signing up for in the first place. Did you think getting out of debt was going to be easy? And yes Credit Solutions told me that it was possible for me to be sued. If you are looking for debt help, your credit is probably already ruined as is. I would recommend Credit Solutions to anyone. Go to their website and look at the settlement letters. Only debt settlement company that will put those on their website.
