i got laid off in july 2007, couldnt find a job that paid well, ended up doing a voluntary repo because the finance company wouldnt work with me, now they say i owe them $10,000.00! they call everyday, along with other collectors! i moved 1400 miles away from home and my daughter to try to get back on my feet, but the economy is so bad, its just not happening! i was getting 40hrs a week, now im luck to get 30! its amazing to me that these debt collectors ignore the current state of our economy and hound us for money we dont have! what should i do? should i file bankruptcy?

Unfortunately you do still owe them the money but I don't think I would jump right into filing a bankruptcy just to make it all go away. When a lender repos your vehicle usually it just goes to an auction and sells for much less than you owe leaving you still reposible for the difference. Most people out there don't understand this and by the time they realize it its too late.

Maybe try speaking to one the consolidation experts right here.

It seems there are more part time jobs available than full time jobs these days but if you have to you might just have to work two part time jobs to make the money to you to make ends meet. Good luck!
