I was wondering if the Debt collector refuses to give the name of the company is this a violation? I Know that I have worked for other collections agency's and we were told this is a rule for FDCPA. Is that true? If so what can I do to go forward with this?

did you identify yourself to them on the phone? If you did not confirm your identity, they cannot identify themselves because of third party disclosure....so it may not be a violation of anything.
