How will the debts be divided in a divorce? My spouse left me and I am disabled with no income and he has a very good job and has not supported me, when he left the debts have all piled up and he has not taken any responsibility. Could u tell me who will have to take most of the responsibility of the debts if I have no income and he does.

What if I don't have an attorney and have to file the divorce on my own and what will happen to the debts? Who will be responsible for the debts. I had the good credit and most of them are in my name and he had the secure job, but, now my credit stinks do to the fact of my husband cutting me off of income and just left with not looking back. I am the one with all the debts and the phone calls what can i do to stop it or fix the problems. Some of the debts are in both of our names.
