i have a debt judgment in canada. I have been paying the debt off for about six years now. in the beginning td bank had no problems sending monthly statements but then when i moved they stopped and refused to send any statements and just keep telling me how nice they are being to me by not charging me any interest on the debt. seems everytime i turn around the debt amount changes sometimes slightly sometimes a lot. i have moved to the usa a year ago and i requested again and again due to the fact that exchange rates are now involved that i be sent statements. all i get is an email now and again off and on to tell me that a payment is received. and that i can call to find out how much the amount still owing is. am i being within my rights to request a full verification of the debt with a list of all my payments. and and i being unreasonable as they seem to claim by requesting a monthly statement from them>

Since your loan is a charge off they are not required by any canadian law to send you a statement particularly to a non canadian address. (When I was practicing law, I worked for TD in their legal department.)

You can ask them for a payment history but you should be keeping track of the balance yourself.
