i had a cridet card throw providian natl.bank i had to cancell it out my line of cridet was 650 i send them my card told i would pay them $50 a month until i could get paid but they wouldn't and they keep putting late charges on it and over draft on unil it got up to 1,461 on cridet teport they got last activity 6-2002 closed 1-2003 then they gave or sold it to palisades 8-2006 and it 1,654 then it has last acttivity as 7- 2002 and now they got this judgement i wasn't told anything about them going to court and the judgement is for bal.2183.50 interest $140 clerk fee $50 atty $75 officer 210 total of 2658.52 date on judgement was 12-13-05 issued 1 -25 07 they say they r going take money from any bank account we have they took money from ex husband accout how can this go from $645 to 2183.50 plus this other stuff evlyn smith i send them back the card and told them i'd what i could at $50. month until i could get paid thought they was surpose let u know u have to go court thank u evlyn smith

Don't miss the court date. You need to file your answers and present your case to the judge. Read the agreement you signed with Providian. It should mention about the charges and collection costs. You should be able to figure out how they reached to that total.
You said your account is now sold to Palisades. This means that you have to work out something with them only because Palisades is now the current creditor. Providian is not going to accept any payments from you.
