Debt paid thru you

A few years ago, I think in 2006 I paid fees for your help. You made arrangements with one of my creditors for me to pay them, which I did. Today I received a letter saying the debt was never paid. I have no proof that I did, other then you. They are planning to come after me for the debt if I can not show proof that it was paid. And while I am writing I need to say that after I paid all of the fees that you requested you no longer helped me with anything. I called on several occasions with no success. I have been hounded by creditors that you were suppose to help me with. I have no intentions of looking for you help any further...you got my money and I am sure that is all this is about. I do need information and since you got my money I think you owe me this much. The creditor is Providian and since I trusted your company to do the right thing and I had not heard from them in years I assumed it was taken care. I have no records.
