Hi, I am considering debt settlement, anybody have info on "debt relief concepts" or "debt choice", both located in California, the latter was the name given from a lady that I spoke with after calling a number from a television ad.
It seems very hard to locate info on these organizations, not that comfortable with giving them all of my info if I can't find any on them.
Thanks!

You may get all feedbacks on these companies from your local attorney general's office. Anyone having a bad experience with them will first report to the AG, BBB and the FTC. You should start your research from these legal places.

Have you taken their free quotes? Once you have more information about their business, compare their quotes before finalizing the company. You should look for the best deals at lowest costs

Hi Bridget,
I haven't got any firm numbers yet,the one off the tv ad gave me a number buy when I told her the first 1 was over 50 a month cheaper she said the actual amount could be less but that other had probably under quoted me and wouldn't be able to deliver. I doubt the tv comp ladies honesty tho because even with the higher rate she said her firms entire fee would just be the first payment, just a bit over a tenth of what the other ones stated fee was.
BBB doesn't seem to have info on either of them, what is the best way to contact AG or FTC for quick reply? Thanks much for the help!,SG

Hi mcranberra, Thanks for that info. I called state regulator of CA., he did not really have any info either so I think I will have to stay away from these people even tho they promise nice things. Are the non profit credit people the only legit ones out there, that program is a lot tougher on the consumer than the debt settlement profit companies are speaking of. Should I just get a lawyer perhaps instead?
Thanks again for the help!
By the way I can't figure out how to log in to this site.
