Last payment was in August 2012 (via FRS the collection agency)

FRS returned the account to Dell's own private collection department.
Dell wants another $780 to settle the account. Almost $1400 is fees.
Not sure how to proceed!
Dell is difficult to deal with, collectors are clueless, disrespectful....

yes
by paying on the account you did reset the SOL.so try and work out the settlement and get it in writing.btw chargeoff doesn't mean the same as date of last payment/first delinquency.totally different.
