Is there a way to get a 8 year old judgement vacated or dismissed? I lost because of a technicality..as in not mailing a copy of my response to the plaintiff's attorney. Everything else was done correctly. I do not have the money to hire an attorney to help me..
Thanks

You would have to have grounds to get it dismissed or vacated.....you said you lost the case because you did not follow civil procedure. Unless you have other grounds, you would be stuck with it.

What state are you in? In some states the SOL on judgments is only 10 years....are they pursuing you?

You haven't acted upon this judgment even after knowing it for 8 years. Now, the onus is on you to convince the court that there were some valid reasons for which you couldn't have acted earlier.

You haven't shown us through details which suggest that the plaintiff wouldn't have been entitled to such judgment due to any specific cause. Moreover, there's no proof that he tried to do something improper in order to earn a judgment against you.

Soaplady has asked some vital questions - try and answer them first.
