How do i fix my credit and get out of debt! Iam so lost and

Me and my mother are both on social secrity! and we are trying hard to get out of debt. We have a home we can not sell and cant afford, and cus of our bad credit we havent been able to down size to a apartment. I really dont know what to do. If anyone has any suggestions or tell me what to do that would be great! Where do i start?
