I am in GA too and still looking. I will let you know if I find anything. I looks like a law group (even based in another state) can help as long as they have lawyers working in GA too. My dmp (like I just posted about on yuour other post) would be just for my two cards in my name. But settlement would be better all around for my husband and I both. Either that or we kill our retirement money to bring down payments. Still debating that----although I know it's not recommended. He's out of the country anyhow so I can't do anything other than my own for a month or so.

Care One does debt settlement in GA through the law offices of Persels and Associates. Care One was actually who I called first but they wouldn't put my Amex into a dmp so I started looking elsewhere.
Bay View Law Group also does debt settlement in GA--according to their site. But I don't know anything about them other than Donald Crowder is the head person. I haven't actually spoken with anyone there.
Debt Settlement Affiliate Program
Hello,
I have a client in GA with $45,000 in CC debt and need to enroll him into a Debt Settlement program. I work with 3 different debt settlement companies and none of them can do GA. If you know of anyone who can help please have them contact me at 877-856-5873 or at rneely@financialsolutionsmadeeasy.com

debt settlement in georgia requires a licensed attorney to do th
Great question. Ga law requires that only attorneys can facilitate a debt settlement. I came across DebtManagementGuys.com, an Atlanta based debt management company that utilizes licensed attorneys nationwide to help people obtain debt settlement for credit card debt. Their attorneys average 30% which is 13% below the national average. I think its because they have strict guidelines to make sure people belong in the program, rather than just rush them into something like a bankruptcy. One thing I like is that they recommend credit counseling programs first, then debt settlement, then bk's if you can't afford the first two programs. I'd definitely check them out. I got these facts from speaking with one of their reps, FYI. Nice people, very helpful and educational.

why are you seeking settlement company ? Why not do it your self . You should ask many question on this thread as possible as lot of creditors will not settle less than their guidelines or system generated amount. You should avoid using any settlement companies. Why pay them 15% saving of your debt.
Please list your creditors that way I can assess who will take what percentage. Below I have listed few creditors to get you started.
America Express - 45% ( lowest )
B of A - 15% ( lowest )
Discover - 50% ( lowest )
US Bank - 30% (lowest )
Chase - have no idea.
Citi - 30% (lowest ) = Attorney (60%)
Hope this helps. Do it yourself, buddy.
