Debt Annul

Hi, Cox Communications claimed that I owe them money for an earlier contract cancellation.
They put that into collection agency, I disputed and that agency closed the case.
Now another agency got the same "debt".
So I will dispute it again and will win because there were no contract at all.
So Cox can go with 3rd agency, why not?
Is there is a way to close that case for good?

They can continue to place it with as many agencies as they wish

To resolve it?? Pay it off.
Are you sure there is no contract? Usually when cable is installed you sign agreements including the rental of equipment.
I had their service for last 10 years, and I did not a contract
I had their service for last 10 years, and I did not a contract with them at that time. hey claim that if you sign up for a bundle (2-3 services) that constitutes a contract. So it is a lot of greedy statements, no documents.
