How to get extra money to pay off debts

hey I opened an Ebay store months ago...$14.99 a month cost plus 6 cents for every store listing (if you include a gallery picture)...and I currently have more than 2,000 items listed ....hoping one person's junk etc...

so far it brings me in an additional income of 200-300 per week after what I spend and buy on site (of course)..my husband is glad if I spend more time listing than I am buying... :o :o :o

Ebay is a really good place to start

I know of a few of my friends who made e-bay their full time career.

In relation, if you research on internet marketing, you might make a bundle of it.

yup i ebay, about 500 a month

mow about 10 lawns a week from march -sept at 25 a lawn

help a friend during the summer in his souvenir shop about 200 a week may-sept

a lot of my inventory came from purchasing in lots on Ebay and then selling the items I didn't want

I sell mostly vintage items I find a lot of my inventory at yard estate and swap meet sales ..I also recently inherited a garage full of vintage jewelry from my deceased mother-in-law..
I also purchase accessory items wholesale from an importer.. but it is from their close-outs catalog and thus a profit is attainable after listing and paypal and ebay fees ..It's a nice and fun hobby!

You can get a part time job delivering pizza's, loading at UPS and others.

Well, it feels so nice to see that people are getting some extra cash to pay off debts. apart from ebay and delivering pizzas, why not rent a portion of the house? if one has some space to spare, say even a room there are many to take it. look at the amount of students who are moving to another city and the first thing they look for is accommodation. so if you can offer lower charges than the hostels, they are sure to take it up! and if you dont want others coming and staying in your house you can just rent the space for a day time workshop for kids. what's more, if you have a particular talent say, singing or sewing, you can take sunday classes yourselves. you will manage quite a few bucks in this way! and if you can get your family to join you in this, that's great! some one try it out and do let us know! good luck everybody! :D

I tried ebay; I listed jewelry and etc. and only sold a sweater for $4.99 - I'm not sure what I was doing wrong but maybe it was too high end - I listed a used 1 carat diamond ring and a 35 carat ameythest with .5 carat diamond wrapped in 14 K gold. Not even a bid on either?

I've thought of putting together five very nice nearly new sweaters to see if they would sell.

did you have a feedback score of less than 100?

I myself never bid on anything if member has feedback less than this ( Unless I feel it is an incredible deal and am willing to take a chance on their credibility) Then I pay with credit card and can dispute if don't receive merchandise....

I have 100% feedback and I was just rated a 10 - whatever that means. I only charge cost to ship and send US Postal. Maybe I wanted too much for the ring $699 - I paid $2400 for it and it's in excellent shape and it had a beautiful wrap I was selling separately for $399 - I paid $1200 for that - so I just don't know. I've thought of putting them together and start at $999? What do you think?

also if what you say you were rated as a ten..how many transactions either purchases or sells have you made..only .....
ten transactions?.....

you have absolutely no credibility on Ebay..
no one will trust you with only ten transactions

and you will have to earn it from dealing with people either by selling or buying and then reap the rewards!

I do pretty good on ebay when I use it, I sell usually during the spring and summer months, I don't do it a whole lot but have made a few bucks here and there on it though.

My husband and I are making extra money through
- GPT sites (about a 100 a month, sometimes more, sometimes less based on how consistent I am)
- donating plasma (2x a week at $30 each = 60 per person, so 120 a week. right now we found a place that pays $100 per donation w/ a anthrax vaccine - we just started the program, my husband made 200 this week though)
- selling books on amazon (about $80 total)
- writing articles for ehow ($10-15 per month)
- both trying to get extra jobs (fingers crossed)
- focus groups/experiments (did a sleep experiment for $400, and a vitamin study for $470, doing an experiment at a local college for $50, etc.

Maybe you can write stuff that you have knowledge and place adsense- www.google.com/adsense and learn about how to promote your blog. You get paid when visitors click on the advertisers' links

You could earn an additional 100 or more a month on this.

I know most jewlery stores are now buying gold. When I went in to have my wedding ring fixed I also took along a ring that I had lost the stone, another ring I don't wear anymore and a bracelet I don't wear and they paid me $140 for that. All you had to do is sign a paper telling them that it is yours and that you didn't find it and they had over the cash. Too bad I had to put that $140 towards my repair bill there. But I am going to start digging for more and stop by some thrift stores to see what I can pick up for a few bucks and hit the rummage sales. I just may be able to find some stuff cheap and make a profit. So if you have any stuff you don't wear anymore you will make more doing this than selling it on ebay. Heck, I picked up a ring on e-bay a couple years ago and they sent me 2 of the same. Well I gave my daughter one and it is too big and she doesn't want to pay the $50 to have it sized (plus she has tons of rings anyway) I paid $10 for the rings and they gave her $50 for just hers.

Gald to hear people have their own way of making extra income. I DO have something..making extra income, I mean. So far it has worked for me.
