Has Anyone Had Trouble with Family Credit Counseling Corporation?

Re: Family Credit Counseling Corp. (FCCC) 4850 N State Road 7 Suite G-104 Lauderdale Lakes, FL 33319 .............. This is a warning--DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS ORGANIZATION!! DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR MONEY!!!
I signed a contract with this organization in 2004. They promised to take over three accounts (two credit cards, and one medical bill). They said they would negotiate with all three creditors to lower my monthly payments, reduce the monthly charges and fees, and improve my credit history. NONE of this has happened. I made monthly payments to this company and they neglected to make payments on time. Sometimes they never made ANY PAYMENTS AT ALL.
One creditor has no record of ever having spoke to anyone from this organization. As a result of this nightmare, one account was turned over to a collections agency, and I am behind the other two accounts.
In 2005 there was a class action lawsuit filed against the FCCC, which they lost. I was awarded $25 and received a letter to mail out to my creditors regarding the late and missing payments. I sent the letter to my three creditors and it was ignored. I sent the letter to Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion, but they also ignored that letter.
This organization charged me $35 a month and provided no goods or services. Financially, I am worse off today than I was five years ago.
I have complained to the Better Business Bureau, the California and Florida Attorney General's Offices, The FTC, the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and The Association of Debt Settlement Companies.
Pass this information on!! These people must be stopped!!!

Yeah, it happens quite often that settlement companies fail to meet the promises they have made. Hence, it is always important that you do the homework before enrolling with one, i.e. check their position with the BBB and the like.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up. This information is always helpful as it'd help many others in making an informed decision.
