Please explain this a little more for me. It's not exactly detailed information: ???FDCPA does not allow a debt collector to- Ruin your credit rating Refer account to an Attorney Garnishment or repossession Extract money by giving false threats


A CA can report to the credit bureaus..collection accounts are negative and will lower your score...nothing illegal or against the FCPCA. They can refer any account to an attorney and if the client wishes to proceed with garnishment or reposession, there is nothing wrong with that. And in some cases such as student loans, a collector or his CA can garnish.
