I'm wondering as to how such a thing could have actually happened with you!
Whenever we make payments to our creditors, we're supposed to get statements from them. These statements will act as payment confirmation. Once we make our payments, we may get in touch with our creditors over the phone or through emails. It really hurts to think that your payment records were either not updated or statements not forwarded in time, even though you spent thousands.
Your bank transactions should stand as a proof, if all your payments were directed to the FDRS account. If you face any problem, you may ask your collection agency to validate your debt. If you come across any discrepancy, you may dispute it with the credit bureaus.
