drowning in debt

I need help figuring out how to get out of and stay out of a substantial amount of debt! Most of which my husband knows nothing about! I have 3 daughters and don't want them to grow up like this! Any and all advice would be appreciated!

The first thing you really need to do is to come clean with your husband. Debts unknown to him will end up damaging your marriage more than your credit rating. Together you can come up with a plan to reduce or eliminate your debt. debt consolidation is an option but not the only one. A lot will depend on how high the debt is and what your budget is.
