This may be a really dumb question, but here goes.

I'm trying to work with several cards, settlements, payments, etc. Can a creditor see any employment information?

I was asked by one of my cards, my place of employment. I told him I wasn't about to give him that. He then said if I wanted a settlement offer, I would need to fill out a financial status form, which asks for that info. I'm not about to give them my work info. That's the last thing I need, to be called at work.

Can they view employment info, in real time? Can I tell them I'm under-employed, which I am?

Thanks,

Bob

I have been able to get settlements with original creditors by letting them know my hours were reduced. They know my employer, but don't call me because I gave them my cell phone number. If you let them know you cannot be contacted at work, they will not. I've never had one call me at work. It's the collection agencies that call everyone...... If you can, settle with the original creditor before they turn it over to collection agency. If that happens, the harrassment will begin.....
