I was in the US Army with a wife and two kids. Credit cards, two car payments, old student loans, the works. I hoped that i could afford to finish my degree after getting out of the military. After 8 months of struggling financially and getting behind on everything, I had to give up on School and I rejoined the military to try and catch up.

Hey ray... First off thank you for doing what you do for our country. Next that's a tough break, but you've come to the right place- the men and women on this forum are tops. If you haven't already, fill out the form and a counselor will give you a call, have all your info. handy, and hopefully you'll be able to come up w/a workable solution for you and your family.

goodluck

i saw this website in the other post

Do you mind telling how much is your total debt? Perhaps, you can consider a debt management program and make affordable payments to your creditors. It will be done at a lower interest rate and with most fees waived off. Take a free counseling and figure out your options.

Ray---Yes, you are in a tough spot right now. Unfortunately, your education has to take a back seat right now while you work to make things better for your family. I put my education off for many years and no it was not fun and definitely not easy. But, I was determined, as you are. So think that it WILL happen just not right now. Good Luck!
