Debt settlement ,Debt Consolidation or Both

Just joined a debt management plan paying ??100 per month to setlle outstanding debt.
Then recently contacted by another company claim they can reduce some of my debts by up to 70% as well as have in place a debt managment plan they are only 5 companies that do this they claim at the moment. Which is best for me???I have onlyu made one payment out of two to cover their fees should i choose the second how would this affect my credit.First company is harrington brookes???
