:mad:fncb sent me a letter from a debt from 2005 (maybe earlier)that was paid. I don't have proof because 1) it was years ago 2) it was check by phone the original creditor priorf to fncb said they would mail documentation stating it was paid, never did. I called fncb disputed the debt, told them not to contact me or anybody they may have as a contact. They told me the account was closed what does that mean?

If you've already paid off the dues, then it can't be sent to collections again. You should send a debt validation letter to them and ask them to validate this debt. If they are unable to validate the debt, they won't be able to contact you legally. If the account has been closed, it means that you may not be liable for paying the dues.
