I had a charge card that went in to collections in sep 2005. Lvnv bought it in april 2006. Do I have to pay it off, because I'm getting letters and phone calls (everyday) about it. Also i know that the statue for ct is 6yrs should I let it go?

it goes by last payment.now it depends on when in 2006,because it still can be within SOL for ct.example:

the last payment was aug 2006.guess what they have till the end of the month till the sol runs out.wait it out if it is that,but lvnv has sued before and even with a month window for the SOL.be sure before you send it.

If it was charged off in 2005 and you haven't made any payments since then, it's past SOL.

D'oh

i just saw that now.it is past SOL so send the C&D,but keep copies of everything as again lvnv doesn't play by the rules at all.send the letter certfied mail return receipt.
