which debt help is best for elderly VETS?

We are ages 66, 55...with a child age 13. We have about $60,000 in credit cared debt + a mortgage and line of credit. We are renting out the home/ renter cannot pay/ we have no equity anyway...
My husband is a disabled Vietnam vet and cannot deal with the situation. I guess I will need a company to help me negotiate. I'd love to do it myself, but I do not think I can do that and keep my job, etc. Maybe I will lose my job anyway because of stress.
Any advice you can give me is great.
