Hi All,
I have a business account with Citi Bank for Home Depot and have had it for along time. This last December, we got 45 days behind because of the economy. Citi bank made an offer to assist by allowing only a small payment of $45 for 12 months to help out. This sounded like a good idea. We went with it. We set up to have it withdrawn from our account and they screwed it up from the word go. They put in the wrong account number and this caused the account to be handed to a collection firm. I have made numerous calls and have been told by Citi Bank that they see the problem and would correct it. This has gone on for 8 months. Each time, i asked just to make the payments while they were trying to get the account back. They kept telling me that they could not do it until they had the account. I have just been notified by a law office that they are proceeding with litigation. I would have been better not doing this program at all. Better than that, I would have been much better off not dealing with Citi Bank in the first place. I am writing the President at Citi Bank to tell him what I think about his bank.
