If you signed up for the free consultation when you registered for this site, you will receive a phone call soon from a consultant who will discuss your options for debt consolidation or settlement. It would be a good idea to have all of your bills (or at least a total on each type of debt - credit cards, medical, other...) so you can discuss this with them.

Also, if you haven't pulled a copy of your credit report recently (or ever), now is a good time to do so. You are allowed one free copy per year (or when you've been denied credit) from all three credit bureas by going to annualcreditreport.com. There are no fees, no program to sign up for, and no obligation - just your free reports. If you can pull those reports before the consultant calls, you will have a better idea of what your overall credit picture is.
