I'm considering going into a debt management plan with Credability. My major problem right now is making the monthly payments on my credit cards. Only 1 of the cards is past due, about 60 days right now. All other are current.

Can anybody tell me what kind of payment reduction I might see? I know it is all relative, but I'd love to hear some stories about how DMP either helped or hurt.

Thanks!

Hello,

You'll need to contact Credability to ask them what they estimate your new monthly payment will be.

Sometimes the new payments don't provide enough relief to consumers for them to enter into this type of program. But there are other times when the relief is just enough to really help people out. Either way, it appears that you'll have to do something about your current situation due to the fact that one account is already 60 days delinquent, and it sounds like the others may be in jeopardy, as well. The good news is that you have options. Go to the home page of this website, and it clearly outlines what those options are.

I wish you the best.

Hi,

Contact your debt management company and ask them how much they can reduce the monthly payments on your credit card accounts. However, only managing your debts through a DMP will not be enough for you as you have already fallen behind by 60 days on one of your cards. Personal finance management is essential for you and you need to save money in order to get back on the monthly credit card payments.
