Hi,
A second job is undoubtedly a good idea. Plan a suitable budget and try to save as much as you can and use the amount to repay your bills. You can also follow debt avalanche method if you want to save more in the long run.

SOAPLADY couldn't be MORE right! Target can't take away your birthday....but mortgage company can take away your house. So please catch that one up ASAP.
Pay anything tied to an asset FIRST....house payment, car payment ect. Insurance. electric and water bills. Food on the table. Then Credit Card bills.
A second job for a while....certainly can't hurt.
Good luck!!!!!

Can you list out specifics for us please?
1. Take home pay
2. Monthly expenses (list every bill and how much you're paying to each monthly).
Don't list what the minimum payment is, list how much you've been paying. So, if the minimum is $50/month but you haven't been paying it, put $0. :)
Include utilities, car payment, insurance, gas, house payment, groceries, cable, etc.

Settlement letter
I just sent a letter to Orchard Bank asking them to settle with me and close the card. I owe 289 and I offered 125. crossing my fingers, I am not late on the card so hopefully they will consider it

I would not expect an answer....credit card companies generally do not settle until you are past due. It is also possible that they will close your account on you now. They have no incentive to accept your settlement.

What are the full balances due on each of your cards?
Basically, you have $340 left over each month, after paying your "necessities." I'm guessing the snowball method would work best for you but I need to know your balances. Also, what are you doing with the extra $75 each month? I'm assuming the house got behind due to the PDLs? Are you still charging on these cards?

WSG is the water, sewer & garbage. yes i fell behind due to my stupidity of the PDL's, as for Orchard closing my account i am ok with that. i havent been able to use the card in a yr and have cut all my charge cards up to top it off so i can not charge on any of them. Right now my home is more important than all the charge cards in the world. Cash only is my policy now. PGE is my electric and gas. With any left over at the end of the month yes I plan on appling it to one card at a time. the only issue is with my medical condition my medical expenses are up and down and i can not make a promise of what i will have left over. thank you everyone. I am not here to feel sorry for myself, I am here to empower myself.
There are a couple of ways to "snowball" paying off your debt.
There are a couple of ways to "snowball" paying off your debt.
I think the strategy that will work best for you is to take your smallest balance card, stop paying it and set aside the money you would have paid into a "settlement fund." At 90 days late, you should be able to start negotiating a settlement.
Once that card is paid, move on to the next lowest balance card, stop paying that and set aside the money you would have paid on that card, plus the money you would have been paying on the one you just paid off and repeat the process until all your cards are paid off.
I would first catch up your mortgage, however :)

I will start the snowball process. There is no way I can thank you guys at the site enough. I wouldnt have been able to do this alone. And yes my mortgage take priority now. Those PDL's really caused me to go crazy. I wish I never would have known about them. Again everyone here is great and I wish everyone here the best in life.:sun:
