applying for PT jobs....wayyyy tooo time consuming

ok, so im getting really desperate here and wanted to apply for some pt jobs. So far ive applied at: applebees, macys and target. It's taken 2.5 hours to complete those?!?!?
I appreciate being able to do it online, but all except applebeees had a #100 questionnaire, basically asking personality questions.
it's been a long time since I applied for a regular job. My field of works is highly specialized but im getting paid salary right now so no opportunity for increasing hours, etc.
I just want something max 20/hours a week, low key, flexible hours. My current job, is varied hours, so I can't say that Im always available on Tuesday evenings or that I can always work saturdays.
I hope I can find a place that will understand that.
Any other quick suggestions of places to check. I was going to try TGI friday, I think a waitress position would be nice to have that extra cash\

In the "olden" days, it would have taken you longer to drive to each of those locations and do the applications.
